In December 2025, Kigali hosted the 7th Africa's Business Heroes Summit and Grand Finale — and DIKAM's founder and CEO, Diane Mukasahaha, stood on that stage as one of ten finalists chosen from more than 32,000 applicants across 54 African countries.

Africa's Business Heroes, founded by the Jack Ma Foundation, is one of the continent's most competitive entrepreneurship prizes. Each of the ten finalists receives a share of US$1.5 million in grant funding — at least US$100,000 each — along with mentorship and access to a continental network of investors and founders. The 2025 grand prize went to Diana Orembe of NovFeed (Tanzania); our congratulations to her and to every finalist.

For DIKAM, the recognition put a spotlight on what this factory represents: industrial garment production built in Rwanda, run overwhelmingly by women, feeding skills and wages into hundreds of households in Kigali.
